EE-OZ Training Standards has developed training packages suited to the attainment of CPR registration. The EE-OZ Training Standards National Electrotechnology Training Package (NETP UTE99 & the updated UEE06) meets the requirements for Open and Restricted registration, and includes a range of qualifications which incorporate relevant units of competency for the registrations. These units of competency delivered as stand-alone units also meet the Open and Restricted registration requirements respectively. An ACA approved and updated eligibility Pathways to ACA CPR Cabler Registration document is included here as a pdf for downloading (2007).
You should review the Pathways document carefully and contact the EE-Oz Training Standards to find out more details regarding the requisite competency standards, qualifications and training packages for adoption by your organisation.

The Information Technology and Telecommunications Training Advisory Body (IT&T ITAB), which has developed units of competency that satisfy the requirements of the new CPRs. The National Quality Council has endorsed these units of competency. They are for Restricted registration, and for Open registration, and also for Lift registration. These units of competence are also incorporated in a range of qualifications.

Property Services Training Australia is currently reviewing the Asset Security Training Package and the CPR competency requirements will be incorporated in the review.

There are also a number of other pathways to obtaining registration, including training pathways for Cablers with experience. The document "Pathways to ACA CPR Cabler Registration ", available on ACA's website, in addition to the competency pathways shows the different training training pathways available to Cablers to meet the requirements for registration.
